En l’honneur de la journée mondiale de la Propriété Intellectuelle, l’INPI accueillera le Global Technology Impact Forum 2017 (GTIF) le 26 avril prochain de 9h à 18h dans ses locaux de Courbevoie.
Le GTIF est un événement unique qui favorise le dialogue sur le rôle de la PI dans la réalisation de progrès sociétaux majeurs. La diversité des participants - avec des représentants de sociétés multinationales, des ONG et des organismes juridiques majeurs - donne l’occasion de partager les meilleures pratiques et de créer un environnement dynamique favorisant les coopérations pour atteindre cet objectif.
Frédéric Caillaud, Directeur de l’Innovation, du marketing et de la communication ouvrira les échanges de la journée.
Cet événement a lieu dans le cadre de la conférence annuelle du LESI (Licensing Executives Society International) qui se tient cette année à Paris du 23 au 25 avril. L’INPI est un partenaire majeur du LESI 2017 sur le thème « IP Revolution ? Scenarios for the Future ». Laurence Joly, directrice de l’Observatoire de la Propriété Industrielle interviendra sur le thème de la Ville intelligente et Frédéric Caillaud apportera son expertise sur l’évolution du marché de la propriété intellectuelle.

10h – 12h30 – Which smart city will you live in tomorrow ?

Beyond the environmental, logistical and digital challenges, "smart" means connecting, exchanging and sharing. Consequently, it involves many complex IP issues. It is worth rethinking current business models to tackle tomorrow’s challenges and to reshape the conventional distribution of actors by putting the data, and the way to efficiently exploit them, at the heart of the debate. This workshop will address the "smart cities" business models today with a focus on key players and value creation. The speakers will discuss the role of IP in tomorrow’s smart cities and how to mitogate the increasing risks of security and privacy breach.

While it can be stated that the patent markets have had little actual development, it is a consensus that solutions around patent exchanges and licensing have to become more transparent, streamlined, and more secure, to realize their full potential. Several initiatives and evolution in this area can now bring decisive progress to the IP Market, making the trading of IP a key lever for business dealings. This workshop will cover the evolution in this domain, bringing together speakers from the industry, policy makers, and the patentor.
