Description
A public establishment, entirely self-financed, placed under the supervision of the ministry in charge of intellectual property, the INPI is at the heart of the innovation process of French companies. Beyond its action of registering and issuing titles (patents, trademarks, designs) and the management of the One-stop shop and the General Register of Companies, the Institute acts in favor of economic development through its actions of awareness and promotion of innovation and its challenges. It therefore supports companies on a daily basis in the creation, development and optimization of their innovation strategy. He also actively participates in the development and implementation of public policies in the field of industrial property and the fight against counterfeiting.
We are recruiting a datascientist to join our Lab (team of 6 people), spearheading the acceleration of the INPI's digital transformation.
We will entrust you with projects that you will lead from start to finish, from the analysis of functional needs to the start of production.
Your missions:
- Identify the needs and the problems of the business departments
- Realize proof of concepts based on artificial intelligence meeting business needs
- For certain projects: design partnerships with private players, research organizations or other industrial property institutions, or select and manage service providers
- Contribute to the production of validated proofs of concept in business processes, and to the monitoring of their performance
- Synthesize and present information to facilitate the communication of results and decision-making
- Integrate into the innovation ecosystem and monitor to identify emerging technologies and relevant partners
- Exchange with the industrial property offices of other countries and contribute to joint projects
Reporting to the Head of the INPI Lab, you work closely with all of the Institute's departments.
Required profile :
You have a higher education in data science or computer science (bac+5) and you wish to put your technical skills at the service of the development of innovative digital projects.
In addition to your rigour, your curiosity, your analytical skills, your team spirit, your command of English, you are recognized for your interpersonal skills allowing iterative work with business departments.
You master descriptive statistics, data mining, machine learning and deep learning. You have strong skills in python and ideally in R. You have advanced knowledge in natural language processing or computer vision.
A first successful professional experience in the field of data science would be appreciated.
