The CURIE Network organizes the largest gathering dedicated to the development, transfer of technology and innovation resulting from public research in France. The 2019 CURIE Congress will be held on June 3, 4 and 5 in Troyes, with the support of the University of Technology of Troyes. As sponsor of the event, the INPI invests in favor of a better understanding by the actors of industrial property. Workshop 4.6: From the declaration of invention to the patent via the provisional application, how to optimize the value of its titles?

Having patents of recognized value is a shared objective. However, practices differ in an attempt to approach the optimal value. What are the roles of researchers and valorization structures? How to remove the constraints and what prospects does the provisional patent application open up? How far should we go in the technical, legal and economic dimensions to prepare the filing and communicate as well as possible with the industrial property attorney? The purpose of this workshop is to discuss best practices and preferred strategies.
