Patents: Perfection

Objectives:
- Develop knowledge of patent law;
- Identify and choose relevant patent strategies;
- Organize the management of patents: enforce its rights and those of third parties.

The achievement of educational objectives is assessed during and/or at the end of training. It is carried out by means of quizzes, exercises, practical cases or scenarios.

Distance learning (5 half-days, from 9 a.m. to 13 p.m.)

Focus on: European patent procedures

Objectives:
- Explain the administrative procedures for obtaining and maintaining European patent rights;
- Interpret the decisions issued by the European Patent Office (EPO) and describe the means of appeal.

The achievement of educational objectives is assessed during and/or at the end of training. It is carried out by means of quizzes, exercises, practical cases or scenarios.
Distance learning (4 half-days, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)

Establishing the novelty of an invention using patent information

Choose and apply a research methodology in patent databases to establish the novelty of an invention.

The achievement of educational objectives is assessed during and/or at the end of training. It is carried out by means of quizzes, exercises, practical cases or scenarios.

Learn how to use patent databases

- Identify the role of the patent as a source of information;
- List the information contained in a patent;
- Use the main patent databases accessible free of charge.
