This is a collaboration agreement between two patent offices, the objective of which is to speed up the processing of the granting of extended patent applications under priority of a first national application.

After filing a request for acceleration under the PPH, the processing of a patent application filed in an office of second filing under priority of an application filed in an office of first filing may be accelerated if the office of first filing considered that certain claims of this application were patentable and that the claims of the application filed with the office of second filing are sufficiently close.
